9am to 5pm - Monday thru Friday except Holidays - September through June.
9am to 4pm - Monday thru Friday except Holidays - July and August

Village Board Meetings

Village Board Meetings are scheduled the second Wednesday of each Month. They are held at 7PM in the Village Hall. 4 N Ten Broeck Street (upstairs). Village Board work sessions are scheduled on a as needed basis.

Payment Drop Box

For your convenience, the Village of Scotia has installed a secure PAYMENT DROP BOX located on the wall outside to the left of the front door of the Clerk's Office. Correspondence and payments for the Clerk's Office or Court Clerk may be left after hours in the payment box.

Hunting Licenses are now on sale

The Clerk's Office is a licensed Agent for Point of Service Sales. The hunting and fishing license year runs from October 1 through September 30 of each year with hunting License Sales. Beginning on the Monday nearest August 15th. DMP Instant Lottery Begins the Monday nearest August 15th and the deadline is October 1st. Bow hunting begins September 27 through the Friday immediately preceding the next to the last Saturday in October and regular Deer and Bear season begins the next to the last Saturday in October through the first Sunday in December. Customers that purchase Lifetime Licenses will receive them during the months of July and August. Schenectady County is located in New York State Department of Environmental Conservation's Region 4.

Marriage and Dog Licenses are only available at the Glenville Town Hall.

Water and Sewer Bills

Water and Sewer bills are distributed each February 1st and October 1st and due by the end of that month with no penalty. Village tax bills are distributed June 1st each year.
