Welcome to the webpage of Scotia Village Court

Court is held on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. Every other Thursday the Assistant District Attorney is in attendance. Traffic and criminal trials are held on DA nights at 5:30 p.m. Village ordinance and civil trials are held on non-DA nights at 5:30 p.m.

The court office is located upstairs in the firehouse building on the corner of North Ten Broeck Street and Mohawk Avenue in the Village of Scotia. Entrance is on the side of the firehouse building through the doors to the right of the village/police entrance. The office is open during the hours listed below for payment and fines.

Court Clerk Hours

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m. to 1 pm, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Thursday 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Closing at 4 p.m. in July and August

Payment Drop Box

For your convenience, the Village of Scotia has installed a secure PAYMENT DROP BOX located on the wall outside to the left of the front door of the Clerk's Office. Correspondence and payments for the Clerk's Office or Court Clerk may be left after hours in the payment box.

Payment should be made in cash or by money order.
Personal checks are not accepted.
